Issued by Digital Marine, LLC, doing business as “Moor” and “Moor Yacht Crew.” This Privacy Policy explains how Moor collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use the MoorCrew.com website, the Moor employment platform, the Moor Ads Portal, and all related systems and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using Moor, you consent to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Platform.

1. Overview of Our Privacy Approach

Moor is a global digital platform that connects yacht crew with employers, and allows advertisers to promote services to the maritime community. We do not sell personal data. We collect only what is necessary to operate the Platform, provide services, maintain security, and improve user experience.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Crew profile details
• CVs, sea service records, certifications, and credentials
• Account information (name, email, phone)
• Employer/vessel details
• Job descriptions and posting details
• Messages sent through in-app messaging
• Advertising content and creative submissions

2.2 Payment Information

All payments are processed through Stripe or another secure third-party provider. Moor does not collect or store full credit card numbers. Limited billing metadata may be received (last 4 digits of card, transaction ID, subscription status, payment success or failure).

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

We may collect device information, browser type, IP address, usage patterns, pages viewed, and general location (city/region) to maintain performance, improve features, and detect security risks.

2.4 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from Crewdentials (verification status—not documents), social media logins, payment processors, advertising partners, security tools, and email providers.

Algorithm Disclosure: Some features (matching, ranking, recommendations) use automated processing to assist in surfacing relevant Crew or job opportunities. These tools are assistive only and do not replace human evaluation.

4.1 With Other Users

• Job posts are visible to Crew
• Messages you send are visible to the recipient
• Spotlight or promoted content is visible publicly
• Ads are visible across browsing areas

4.2 With Service Providers

• GHL (Go High Level) for CRM and communication
• Stripe for payment processing
• Supabase / Vercel / AWS for hosting and infrastructure
• Crewdentials for verification integration
• Email and SMS providers
• Security and analytics providers

4.3 With Legal Authorities

If required by law, court order, or to protect the Platform and users, we may disclose information to law enforcement or regulatory bodies.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain login sessions, understand usage patterns, improve site performance, support advertising placements, and detect fraud or misuse. Users may disable cookies through their browser settings, but some features may not function properly.

6. Data Storage and International Transfers

All Platform data is stored primarily in the United States. Verification data processed by Crewdentials may be stored in the United Kingdom. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer and storage of your information in these regions. Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are used to protect data.

7. Verification Data (Crewdentials)

Moor integrates with Crewdentials, an independent third-party verification provider. Moor does not collect or store verification documents. Crewdentials controls its own verification process and data storage. Moor receives only verification status or signals. Verification services are provided by Crewdentials. Moor does not guarantee verification outcomes.

8. In-App Messaging Privacy

Messages sent between users are user-to-user communications, not monitored, reviewed, or verified by Moor. We strongly advise users not to share sensitive information such as financial data, passport numbers, or home addresses through messaging.

9. Advertising Data

If you use the Moor Ads Portal, we collect ad creative, business information, billing information (not full card numbers), campaign settings, and performance metrics. Advertiser content is user-submitted. Moor does not verify claims or representations made in advertisements. See Advertising Policy for details.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access the information we hold, request corrections, request deletion, opt out of certain processing, request a copy of your data, or withdraw consent (where applicable). 11. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to operate the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms. You may request deletion of your account at any time.

12. Children’s Privacy

Moor is not intended for individuals under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Moor may link to external websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites.
