Cookie Policy
Last Updated: March 2026
Issued by Digital Marine, LLC, doing business as "Moor" and "Moor Yacht Crew" | moorcrew.com
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Digital Marine, LLC ("Moor," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on MoorCrew.com and related Moor-operated pages (collectively, the "Platform").
Important: We do not set non-essential cookies without your explicit consent. Strictly necessary cookies are placed automatically because the Platform cannot function without them. All other cookies — analytics, functional, and advertising — are only placed after you make an active choice through our cookie consent tool.
This Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy (moorcrew.com/privacy) and Terms and Conditions (moorcrew.com/terms). For privacy questions, contact hello@moorcrew.com.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and collect information about how you use the site.
We also use similar technologies including:
- pixels — small image files that track interactions with pages or emails
- local storage — browser-based storage used for session management
- session tokens — temporary identifiers that authenticate your account
Cookies can be:
- first-party — set directly by Moor on our domain
- third-party — set by external providers such as analytics or advertising services
- session cookies — deleted when you close your browser
- persistent cookies — remain on your device for a defined period after your session ends
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
A. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They cannot be switched off because without them core features — including login, security, and account management — would not work. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies, but we are transparent about what they do.
| Cookie / Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase auth token | Strictly Necessary | Maintains your authenticated session after login | Session / up to 7 days |
| CSRF token | Strictly Necessary | Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks | Session |
| Load balancer cookie | Strictly Necessary | Ensures requests route to the correct server | Session |
| Vercel security token | Strictly Necessary | Infrastructure security and stability | Session |
B. Functional Cookies
These cookies improve how the Platform works by remembering your preferences and settings. They are not strictly necessary but enhance your experience. They are only placed with your consent.
| Cookie / Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Preference cookie | Functional | Remembers your display preferences and settings across visits | Up to 12 months |
| Language/region setting | Functional | Stores your language or region preference | Up to 12 months |
| Profile state | Functional | Maintains state for partially completed profile fields | Up to 30 days |
C. Analytics & Performance Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Platform so we can improve it. They collect aggregate, anonymized or pseudonymized data about page views, user flows, errors, and device types. They are only placed with your consent.
| Cookie / Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics (_ga, _gid) | Analytics | Measures site usage, page views, and traffic sources | _ga: 2 years / _gid: 24 hours |
| Vercel Analytics | Analytics | Infrastructure performance monitoring | Session |
| GHL analytics cookies | Analytics | Funnel and form completion tracking on GHL pages | Up to 12 months |
D. Advertising & Marketing Cookies
These cookies are used on pages where advertising or retargeting occurs, primarily within the Moor Ads Portal. They enable targeted ad delivery, conversion tracking, and campaign performance measurement. They are only placed with your consent and only where advertising functionality is active.
| Cookie / Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meta Pixel (_fbp) | Advertising | Tracks ad conversions and enables retargeting on Meta platforms | Up to 90 days |
| Google Ads tag | Advertising | Measures ad performance and supports remarketing | Up to 90 days |
| GHL remarketing cookies | Advertising | Tracks funnel interactions for advertising attribution | Up to 12 months |
Note: Advertising cookies are only active on pages where advertising features are used — primarily the Moor Ads Portal. They are not present on core Platform pages unless you have consented.
4. Consent and How We Collect It
When you first visit the Platform, a cookie consent banner will appear. This banner:
- clearly describes each category of non-essential cookie
- gives you the ability to accept all, reject all, or choose by category
- presents Accept and Reject options with equal visual prominence — neither is pre-selected or harder to find than the other
- does not set any non-essential cookies before you make a choice
Your consent choices are recorded and applied immediately. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the footer of any Moor page.
Consent records — including what you consented to, when, and what information was displayed — are logged and retained for compliance purposes.
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, consent for non-essential cookies must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous. Pre-ticked boxes and implicit consent from continued browsing do not meet this standard. We do not use either.
5. Third-Party Cookies and Providers
Some cookies are set by third-party providers. These providers may set their own cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party cookie practices.
| Cookie / Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google (Analytics, Ads) | Analytics / Advertising | Site measurement and advertising attribution | See Google's Privacy Policy |
| Meta (Facebook/Instagram) | Advertising | Ad conversion tracking and retargeting | See Meta's Privacy Policy |
| Stripe | Strictly Necessary | Payment security and fraud prevention tokens | Session / short-term |
| Supabase | Strictly Necessary | Authentication and session management | Session / up to 7 days |
| Crewdentials | Strictly Necessary | Verification session when verification is accessed | Session only |
| Go High Level (GHL) | Functional / Analytics | CRM, funnel tracking, and form completion on GHL-hosted pages | Up to 12 months |
| Vercel | Strictly Necessary / Analytics | Hosting infrastructure and performance monitoring | Session / short-term |
6. GHL-Hosted Pages
Some Moor pages — including certain advertising funnels and marketing landing pages — are hosted through Go High Level (GHL), a third-party CRM and marketing platform. These pages operate on GHL's infrastructure and are subject to GHL's own cookie and privacy practices.
We take reasonable steps to align GHL-hosted page behavior with this Policy, but because GHL pages operate on separate infrastructure, their cookies are governed by GHL's privacy documentation. Where GHL pages collect personal data from Moor users, that data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If you have questions about cookies on GHL-hosted Moor pages, contact hello@moorcrew.com.
7. Your Cookie Controls
Cookie Consent Tool
Use the cookie settings link in the footer of any Moor page to review and change your preferences at any time. You can withdraw consent for any non-essential cookie category and your choice will take effect immediately.
Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Common browser controls:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent some Platform features from working, including login and account management.
Opt Out of Interest-Based Advertising
You may opt out of interest-based advertising from specific providers:
- Google Ads: adssettings.google.com
- Meta: facebook.com/ads/preferences
- Your mobile device: use Ad Tracking settings in iOS or Android privacy settings
Browser Privacy Signals
Some browsers transmit privacy preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). Where we are technically able to detect these signals, we will treat them as a preference to opt out of non-essential cookies. Implementation of this capability is ongoing. In the meantime, please use our consent tool to set your preferences directly.
8. International Users
Moor serves users globally and our cookie practices are designed to meet the requirements of the most stringent applicable frameworks.
- EU and EEA users: non-essential cookies require your explicit prior consent under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. You will see our consent banner on first visit. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent but are disclosed here.
- UK users: the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR apply. Our consent mechanism meets PECR requirements. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt.
- California users (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell personal data collected through cookies. You may opt out of sharing data for targeted advertising purposes using our consent tool or by contacting hello@moorcrew.com.
- Canadian users (PIPEDA): non-essential cookies require consent. Our consent tool provides this.
- Australian users (Privacy Act): we are transparent about all cookies we use and provide controls to limit non-essential tracking.
9. Cookies and Data We Do Not Use
For clarity:
- We do not use cookies or tracking technologies to sell your personal data to third parties.
- We do not use cookies to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- We do not use fingerprinting or covert tracking techniques that operate outside of the cookie consent framework described in this Policy.
- We do not use cookie walls — you may access the Platform regardless of your cookie choices, except that disabling strictly necessary cookies will affect core functionality.
10. Retention of Cookie Data
Personal data collected through cookies is retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy (moorcrew.com/privacy). Cookie-specific retention periods are indicated in the tables in Section 3. Consent records are retained for a minimum of five years to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.
11. Updates to This Policy
We review and update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in the cookies we use, the providers we work with, or the applicable legal requirements. We will note the revised "Last Updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
For material changes — such as adding new categories of tracking or new advertising partners — we will display a prominent notice on the Platform and reset cookie consent where required so you can review and re-confirm your preferences.
For questions about this Cookie Policy, contact hello@moorcrew.com.
