THE PROBLEM
You need the right person. Not a hundred applications to sort through, not a steep learning curve on a new platform, and not a week of back-and-forth before you even know if anyone qualified is available.
Most captains and yacht managers aren't short on options. They're short on time, and they're tired of options that don't match. A stack of CVs from people who aren't quite right is not a solution — it's more work.
The problem runs deeper than inconvenience. When crew are placed based on certifications and availability alone — without any consideration of lifestyle, program culture, or personality fit — the match rarely holds. Turnover follows. The search starts again.
"It's not enough to simply have available crew fill open positions. Crew joining programs that don't fit their lifestyle is why the yachting industry sees a high crew turnover rate." — Emery Wallerich, YATCO
Private Access is built for the captain or manager who is done starting over. You tell MOOR what you need. MOOR does the search. You receive a shortlist of five to eight qualified, available candidates within 48 hours — and you take it from there.

HOW IT WORKS
Private Access is not a job posting. There's no listing to write, no platform to learn, and no inbox to manage. The process is a single qualifying call followed by a delivered shortlist.
Step 1: The qualifying call
MOOR takes an intake call to understand exactly what you're looking for — the role, the vessel, the experience level, any specific certifications required, and the program type. This call typically runs fifteen to twenty minutes.
The intake is completed by MOOR during the call, not by you in advance. Program culture, lifestyle preferences, and itinerary type are part of the intake — not as afterthoughts, but as primary search criteria. If you know what you need, that's enough to get started.
Step 2: MOOR searches on your behalf
Once the intake is confirmed and the search fee is in place, MOOR searches the crew database against your criteria. The focus is on candidates who are actively available, hold current certifications, and match your specific requirements — including the program fit factors that job boards don't ask about.
This is not an automated keyword match. It's a human-led search using MOOR's crew database, credential visibility through our partner platform Crewdentials, and direct outreach to candidates who fit. Candidates with expired or missing required certifications are not included.
Step 3: Your shortlist arrives within 48 hours
You receive a curated shortlist of qualified candidates. Each profile includes relevant experience, current certifications, availability, and program compatibility. From there, you decide who to contact and how to proceed. MOOR doesn't manage the conversation after delivery — the relationship is yours.
You tell us what you need. We find who fits. You decide who to hire. No platform to learn. No applications to manage.

WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE IN PRACTICE
A chief stew position on a 50m motor yacht. The captain needed someone with experience on a busy charter program, and the kind of personality that would settle into a tight-knit crew that spent their off time together. Not every qualified chief stew fits that profile.
MOOR sourced the shortlist. The captain made contact. One candidate was hired. She is still on board.
That outcome — a placement that holds — is the standard Private Access is built to deliver. Not the fastest possible fill. The right fit, placed well enough to stay.

PRICING
Service: MOOR Private Access
Positions covered: All crew positions — deck, interior, galley, engineering, officers (Captain case by case)
Fee: $2,000
Payment structure: $1,000 at intake · $1,000 at successful hire (no hire, no completion fee)
The search fee is split in two. A $1,000 intake payment confirms the search begins and covers the work of sourcing and delivering your shortlist. A $1,000 completion fee is due only if you hire from the shortlist — if you don't, nothing further is owed. You're paying for results, not just effort.
Private Access is a search service, not a placement service. MOOR is not a crew agency and does not charge a percentage fee tied to compensation. If you make an offer and they accept, a flat $1,000 completion fee is due — and that's it.

WHAT YOU'RE NOT SIGNING UP FOR
No subscription required. Private Access is available as a standalone service — no Employer Pro account needed, no ongoing commitment after the search is complete.
No platform onboarding. The entire process happens through a call and email. If you want to create a MOOR account after receiving your shortlist, you're welcome to — but it's not a requirement.
No exclusive arrangement. The candidates on your shortlist manage their own careers. MOOR facilitates the introduction — we don't represent them exclusively or restrict who else they talk to.
No completion fee if you don't hire. If no one from the shortlist is the right fit and you don't make an offer, nothing further is owed beyond the intake payment.

WHO PRIVATE ACCESS IS FOR
Private Access works best when at least one of the following is true:
· You have a specific role to fill and a defined timeline — not a speculative or open-ended search
· You don't want to manage a platform or sort applications yourself
· You need candidates who aren't actively applying to job boards
· You've used job boards before and found the quality inconsistent or placements short-lived
· You're a first-time MOOR user who wants to see what the crew pool looks like before committing to a subscription
For ongoing or multi-role hiring, Employer Pro gives you full database access and direct outreach at $99/month.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is MOOR Private Access?
Private Access is MOOR's done-for-you hiring service. Rather than searching the crew database yourself, MOOR conducts the search on your behalf and delivers a shortlist of five to eight qualified, available candidates within 48 hours. It's designed for captains and yacht managers who need results without the time investment of platform-based searching.
Is MOOR a crew agency?
No. MOOR is a yacht employment platform, not a crew agency. The intake payment covers the search work. The $1,000 completion fee is due only at hire — if no one from your shortlist is the right fit and you don't hire, you owe nothing further. No placement percentage, no exclusivity, no ongoing obligation.
How does MOOR match candidates beyond certifications?
Crew profiles on MOOR include lifestyle and program compatibility information — preferred itinerary type, on-board social atmosphere, activity interests, and program pace. These are used as search criteria alongside certifications and experience. The goal is a placement that holds, not just a placement.
What happens if none of the shortlisted candidates are right?
If the shortlist doesn't reflect what was agreed in the intake call, MOOR will work to address it. The intake call is where specificity matters most — the clearer your requirements, the stronger the shortlist.
Do I need a MOOR account to use Private Access?
No. The process is handled through a call and email delivery. After receiving your shortlist, you're invited to create a MOOR employer account if you want ongoing access — but it's not required.
How is Private Access different from Employer Pro?
Employer Pro is MOOR's self-service subscription tier at $99/month — full database search, direct outreach, unlimited job postings, and Hiring Memory. Private Access is done-for-you. Many employers use Private Access first to evaluate the crew pool, then move to Employer Pro for ongoing hiring.
What positions does Private Access cover?
All yacht crew positions: deck, interior, galley, and engineering at officer and rating level. Captain placements are handled case by case — contact MOOR directly.
How does MOOR verify crew credentials?
MOOR partners with Crewdentials, a third-party digital credential platform. Crew maintain their own STCW, medical, and endorsement documents in a free Crewdentials digital locker. Candidates with expired or missing certifications are not included in your shortlist.
